Stafford to Newport Greenway

About

The Stafford Greenway is a cycle and walkway along a disused railway line just a short distance from Stafford town centre, The pathway runs road free from Castlefields, Stafford all the way to Gnosall Heath only crossing one small country lane. At Gnosall Heath a crossing is provided and a few meters along the pavement the second half of the Greenway can be picked up again which runs close to Newport, crossing over the Shropshire Union Canal. It is 14 kilometres long and there is a well surfaced track from Stafford for cyclists which is also suitable for wheelchair users. There are a number of car parks and access points along the length of the line.
