Evolving Staffordshire's DMP to create a sector led LVEP

The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) marks the destination’s commitment to place management and joins other destinations across England supporting the development and delivery of England’s Tourism Strategy.

The partnership will be a dynamic collaboration between local government, tourism organisations, business associations, and key stakeholders dedicated to promoting and enhancing the visitor economy.

LVEP announces inaugural Chair for its newly formed Board. 

Alastair Bud, Director of Trentham Estate and Chair of Staffordshire & Stoke LVEPAlastair Budd, Director of Trentham Estate (pictured left), has been announced as the inaugural Chair of the Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Local Visitor Economy Partnership.

Accountable to the Staffordshire Leaders Board, Stoke-on-Trent Senior Leaders, and the We Are Staffordshire Place Board, as  Chair of the LVEP, Alastair, will also be supported by the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent ‘Star Operators Group’ which will be the primary link between the  LVEP Board* and those working on the ground within our visitor economy.

Alastair will oversee the strengthening of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent’s thriving visitor economy and help build on the success and world class reputation of our international and national recognised visitor brands.

As chair of the newly formed LVEP, Alastair will play a pivotal role in leading the partnership to new heights, ensuring sustainable growth and development and be committed to representing the whole of Staffordshire’s geography. 

Local Visitor Economy Partnership Board

Recruitment to the new Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent LVEP Board has now closed, and the successful applicants will be announced late Summer / early Autumn 2024, ahead of the first LVEP Board meeting due to be held in October.

*The LVEP Board will typically be composed of members representing the region’s geography, but with the flexibility to co-opt members to plug gaps in areas of expertise, local geography or to ensure greater diversity.
