About
Unsurprisingly, there are bikes and tents aplenty at Chase Camping, a pop-up campside spread across 30 acres of open land behind Four Oaks Farm in Staffordshire.
The campsite is only open a handful of weekends a year between March and August but is located 100 metres from Birches Valley Forest, home to the first dedicated mountrain bike trail and attracts hundreds of riders all year round. Being at the heart of Cannock Chase AONB, the site is also a hive the world's less hard cyclists! There is something for everyone here, whether you bring a bike or not.
Its a wonderful laid-back affair, with camping, touring and glamping pitches for families of all sizes. Although there is room for 100 tents, campers are left with endless space. There are some grass pitches for caravans and motorhomes.
Furnished bell tents are available for those without camping clobber. These are pitched ready for your arrival and include luxury touches. Pets are welcome, campfires are permitted and fire pits and logs are availble for a small fee) but a live and let live atmosphere pervades.
