Richard Calcott has farmed at Wigginton Fields Farm (Tamworth) since 1980. He started at the age of just 16 years with 50 turkeys selling to local people along with learning the family trade of farming beef cattle, sheep, combinable crops and agricultural contracting. Over the last 37 years Wigginton Fields Farm under Richard's guidance now produces 2000 turkeys, supplying local people, farm shops and butchers.
He is assisted with all elements of the farm by his wife Deborah and their three sons Edward, William and George. A new range of buildings were built in 2004 which were purpose built for the rearing and supply of Traditional Farm Fresh Turkeys to a high standard.
