Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism & Good Food Awards 2019
Every year we celebrate Staffordshire's best tourism and hospitality businesses with the Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism and Good Food Awards.
This annual competition rewards excellence in tourism and hospitality businesses, such as visitor attractions, accommodation, experiences, restaurants, pubs and tearooms, with awards in 17 categories.
The 2019 awards were held in October at the Boat House, Aston Marina with businesses recognised for their efforts in giving visitors to Staffordshire an amazing and unforgettable experience.
Our Large Visitor Attraction of the Year was Alton Towers Resort, while the Gladstone Pottery Museum won the gold in the Small Visitor Attraction of the Year category, sponsored by RH Advertising.
The Historic Narrowboat Experience at Middleport Pottery was named Experience of the Year, and the National Memorial Arboretum picked up gold for the Business Events Venue of the Year. sponsored by Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Growth Hub.
Large Hotel of the Year went to CBeebies Land Hotel at Alton Towers Resort and Swinfen Hall Hotel was named Small Hotel of the Year, whilst The Little George in Eccleshall scooped B&B and Guesthouse of the Year.
Heywood Hall gained the Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year title and Quarry Walk Park was awarded Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year.
Beechenhill Farm won gold in the Accessible & Inclusive Tourism Award category and Alton Towers Resort picked up the Ethical, Responsible & Sustainable Tourism Award, sponsored by Staffordshire Business & Environment Network, which was their third gold of the night.
The Borehole was named as Pub of the Year and New Tourism Business of the Year went to The Parlour at Greenacres Barn.
There were four categories for food and drink businesses, sponsored by NFU Mutual, Stone Agency. Denstone Hall Farm Shop & Cafe collected two gold awards, one for Tea Room & Coffee Shop of the Year and the other for Farm Shop and Food & Drink Retailer of the Year.
Meanwhile the Three Horseshoes Country Inn was awarded Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year for the third year running and No 26 at Aston Marina was named Independent Restaurant of the Year.
In all, there were 17 categories covering the best places to visit, stay, eat and drink in Staffordshire. Here's our list of winners:
