It's a February half-term like no other this year, but Staffordshire's attractions and other places to visit still offer lots of options to keep the family occupied, including sprawling estates to escape in, and activities to do from home.
Enjoy the outdoors
There are wide open spaces in every corner of Staffordshire, making perfect spots for lockdown walks - within the national guidelines.
Let off some steam at The Trentham Estate, home of the beautiful lake and Italian Gardens, set within more than 700 acres. It's a haven for otters, herons, deer and many other species, so do some wildlife spotting, and look out for the 21 enchanted fairies as you go.
Breathe in the fresh air, and take in the views beside the Rivers Tame and Trent, on a stroll among the memorials and trees at the National Memorial Arboretum.
Please note, if you intend to visit any of these attractions, they are open to pre-booked visitors only, so you will need to book your tickets in advance.
We also have many rural destinations and waterways to visit, from the Staffordshire Peak District, to The National Forest, Cannock Chase, and an array of country parks and nature reserves.
In line with current lockdown restrictions, we ask that you continue to exercise in your local area for the time being.
Half-term activities at home
Our attractions have lined up a selection of online activities for this half-term in Staffordshire, including live broadcasts, downloads and virtual tours.
Peak Wildlife Park will be hosting their Wake Up Wild live broadcasts on their Facebook page, while The Trentham Estate's At Home activities include Make Your Own Bird Pizza, complete with ingredients, recipes and bird facts.
There are worksheets available to download from the Monkey Forest, National Memorial Arboretum and Potteries Museum & Art Gallery websites, including colouring sheets, quizzes, wordsearches and more.
And you can remember your past visits, and plan your next, post-lockdown trip, on a virtual tour of Waterworld, Lichfield Cathedral and the Gladstone Pottery Museum.
