Staffordshire Day
Staffordshire Day goes online for 2020
Due to the global Coronavirus pandemic, we have made some changes to our plans for Staffordshire Day 2020.
This year, the programme is going to be online-only, so it will take place on social media and the Enjoy Staffordshire website.
There will be a host of activities to recognise our pride in our county, promoting our resilience, kindness and community spirit.
So, this year, on Friday 1st May, we want you to get online through live music performances, poetry readings, history talks, demonstrations and activities for people to get involved with at home.
As part of this year’s one-off online only version of Staffordshire Day we wanted to create something really special, so we invited everyone to take part in our mass sing-a-long to the Robbie Williams' anthem 'Angels'.
Our cover version video will be dedicated to all of the 'Staffordshire Angels' - the front line health and care staff, key workers, organisations, businesses and individuals - out there helping to keep us safe during the current health crisis.
We have been overwhelmed by the response and plan to premier our video montage on Staffordshire Day on the Staffordshire Day Angels webpage.
Whats on for Staffordshire Day 2020?
Thanks to the musicians, artists, creatives, makers, performers, poets and writers who have agreed to showcase their skills and entertain us this Staffordshire Day.

What is Staffordshire Day?
Staffordshire Day is the day we celebrate everything we love about Staffordshire.
Every year on May 1st, Staffordshire comes alive with events of all shapes and sizes across the county, and loads of competitions and special offers from our great attractions, restaurants, pubs, and hotels.
Whether you love our captivating countryside, our thrilling theme parks or our eye-opening history and heritage, there will be something for you on Staffordshire Day!
It is a very special day for us. May 1st is the anniversary of our most famous son, Josiah Wedgwood, setting up his pottery company in 1759 and helping to transform Staffordshire into the centre of the world’s ceramics industry.
Now that is something worth shouting about!
