Tourism Awards

Our annual tourism awards event gives us the chance to celebrate Staffordshire’s best tourism businesses and their contribution to the growth of our tourism sector.

The 2017 Awards will be held on Wednesday 15th November in the fabulous surroundings of the 1907 Restaurant at Uttoxeter Racecourse.

There are 16 categories including Large Visitor Attraction of the Year, Boutique Guest Accommodation of the Year, Tourism Experience of the Year and Dog-Friendly Business of the Year.

The successful businesses in 14 of the categories will go forward to represent Staffordshire at next year’s national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.

Last year, our awards ceremony was at Alton Towers Resort. It was hosted by BBC Midlands Today’s Joanne Malin, and featured entertainment from magician Andrew van Buren, who amazed everyone with his plate-spinning, juggling and uni-cycling skills.

Our winners included Tamworth Castle (Small Visitor Attraction of the Year), Swinfen Hall Hotel (Hotel of the Year), Springslade Lodge (Tea Room/Coffee Shop of the Year), and The Borehole in Stone (Dog-Friendly Business of the Year).
