Conferences

Part of the role of Destination Staffordshire is to help the trade grow their businesses and to keep them informed on our marketing activity. To do that, we run a series of free events around the county each Spring to coincide with VisitEngland’s English Tourism Week in March.
Each event combines a swap shop enabling tourism businesses to showcase their attractions and activities and distribute their marketing literature, with a short presentation from us on the development of the sector over the previous 12 months, and the tourism strategy for the next year. We host these roadshows in each district of Staffordshire as it makes it easier for local tourism businesses to attend.

In 2017, we held three events in partnership with our member tourism associations at the Nicholson Museum and Art Gallery in Leek, Rodbaston Hall in Penkridge, and Drayton Manor Park in Tamworth. They proved very popular – we saw more of you, our members, than ever before – and we will be hitting the road again in 2018. Head to our Conferences & Roadshows page for more information.

Alongside the swap shops, we organise lunchtime networking sessions to help you get to know us and each other, and in conjunction with Winning Moves we ran a number of social media workshops with Emily Whitehead from Simply Staffordshire.
