About
A social event, we'll be chatting and doodling away as we walk under the trees and take in the views at Biddulph Grange Country Park.
We're bringing in the lovely Ali Foxon, author/illustrator/doodler extraordinaire, to show us some basics and help build our confidence. Ali is someone we've been keen to work with for ages, so we're very excited! All tools and equipment will be provided, but you're welcome to bring any of your own art materials or sketchpads, if you'd prefer.
Please wear sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for the task and weather. Paths at Biddulph can be steep in places, and occasionally muddy. Bring a bottle of water along to stay hydrated and some sun cream to keep you looking youthful.
Alexis, our Wilder Youth project lead will be joining in to lend a hand, and will be providing lunch after the session; be sure to include any dietary requirements with your booking. If you have any concerns about accessibility, please get in touch with us; we'll do our best to accommodate.
Wilder Youth is a unique project, targeted at 16-24s who are keen to work together to make a positive change for wildlife in Staffordshire. Being an activist can be lonely work - so we're holding the space to provide training, venues, and guidance to bring you together! You'll be responsible for guiding the project...Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is just here to help.
Wilder Youth is funded by UHNM Charity/NHS Charities Together.
Ali Foxon is a self-taught artist, former climate change advisor and founder of the green sketching movement.
