Markets & Fairs

Many of Staffordshire’s market towns hold weekly market days and monthly Farmers’ Markets or regular specialist markets.

Newcastle-under-Lyme is famed for the variety of its markets which include flea markets, antique markets and outdoor markets. Leek also hosts an antique and bric-a-brac market and Totally Locally Sunday Supplement market.

Throughout the year Staffordshire hosts a packed calendar of events and festivals which include music festivals, food festivals and well dressing festivals.

Springtime sees the Midland Grand National at Uttoxeter Racecourse, Leek Arts Festival and the start of well dressing season. Summer has open-air Shakespeare, Lichfield Festival and live music at Trentham Gardens. Autumn brings Abbots Bromley Horn Dance, Stone Food Festival and firework displays. Winter marks the season of remembrance, Christmas events and the start of the New Year.
