Taste of Staffordshire Masterchef and Young Chef
The Taste of Staffordshire Masterchef and Young Chef of Tomorrow competitions celebrate the culinary expertise of the county’s very best chefs.
Launched in January each year, we invite budding chefs aged 16 – 21 and professional chefs over 21 to design a three course menu, costing less than £20, using seasonal Staffordshire ingredients.
At least six finalists in each category are selected to compete in a challenging two hour ‘cook off’ held at Stafford College and closely observed by a panel of expert judges. The winners are announced the same day at a gala presentation evening.
The battle is over! Our Taste of Staffordshire Masterchef and Young Chef finalists competed in an exciting 'cook off' held at Stafford College on Monday 13th May. This year the competition was fierce, however Richard Cullen was chosen as Masterchef and Jack Harries was announced as Young Chef during the celebration dinner and awards ceremony held at Weston Park.
