Nearest bus stop is in Brewood which is 2 miles away from the cottage.

The nearest train station is Codsall, which is a very small station- not all trains stop here. The better train station to use is either Stafford or Wolverhampton which have Taxi ranks outside.

Public Transport Directions

FROM THE SOUTHWEST: Exit M6 at J10A and join M54 (signposted Wolverhampton and Wales) · Exit M54 at J2 (A449). Take third exit at roundabout (signposted Stafford). At second traffic island turn left into Brewood Road (signposted Brewood and Coven). Turn left at first mini traffic island into Brewood Road. Turn left at second mini traffic island into Brewood Road. After about 1.5 miles turn left into Port Lane (fingerpost to Chillington Hall). Just over brow of hill turn right into an unnamed road (fingerpost to Chillington Hall). At T-junction turn right onto Foxes Lane. Continue past Chillington Hall (on your left), Gardener’s Cottage in on the lefthand side approx. 2 miles along this lane.

FROM M6 TOLL, THE EAST AND NORTH: Leave M6 at J12 and continue along A5. At the traffic island at the junction with the A5 and A449, follow the A5 west. Take the first left into Clay Gates Road signposted Chillington Hall and Brewood. Turn left into Tinkers Lane towards Codsall (fingerpost for Chillington Hall). Continue along Tinkers Lane towards Codsall. At the crossroads, travel straight across into Port Lane. Just over brow of hill turn right into an unnamed road (fingerpost to Chillington Hall). At T-junction turn right onto Foxes Lane. Continue past Chillington Hall (on your left), Gardener’s Cottage in on the lefthand side approx. 2 miles along this lane.

FROM THE WEST: Exit M54 at Junction 3. Turn left at A41 (signposted Whitchurch and Weston Park). Take the third right, opposite the Bell Inn (signposted Bishop’s Wood and Brewood). At the crossroads, after 400 yards, straight over for 3 miles. At the crossroads, straight over and after 300 yards turn right at the T-junction. Take the first right opposite Black Ladies House. At the T-junction turn left then follow the road around to the right. Continue along this lane (Foxes Lane) for one and a half miles. Gardener’s Cottage is located on the right.

FROM THE A41 NORTH: At the traffic island junction with the A5 and A41, take the A5 south (signposted Cannock). After about 3 miles turn right (opposite the Bradford Arms). Travel into Bishop’s Wood and turn left into Old Coach Road. Take the second right opposite Black Ladies House. At the T-junction turn left then follow the road around to the right. Continue along this lane (Foxes Lane) for approx. one and a half miles. Gardener’s Cottage is located on the right.
