Details

Newcastle’s 12th annual Jazz and Blues Festival is coming back with a bang this year and is set to be bigger and better than ever with a variety of musical acts, the popular vinyl record fair, the Artisan Market and much, much more…

With over 100 live music gigs taking place throughout 23 local venues, acts such as Snake Davis, Brassociety, Tipitina, Kent Duchaine and Brian Nash are just some of the talent that will be taking to the stage. The weekend will also see plenty of activities for children, a fairground and the return of the charity and plant market – there really is something for everyone!

Music lovers will be pleased to see the VIP Record Fair back at the Festival on Sunday 28th May. Located in the main market place, traders from all over the UK will be selling records and CDs in a variety of genres. The record fair is open to the public and will take place from 10am to 3pm.

The Artisan Market will be returning to Newcastle town too on Saturday 27th May, from 10am – 4pm. Positioned centrally on the Ironmarket, the market offers an opportunity to browse stalls, taste the culinary treats, talk to artists, vintage dealers and designer-makers, or sample the hot authentic street food whilst being entertained by local musicians.

Parking will be free on council-owned car parks in the Borough on Sunday 28th May and Monday 29th May.
