Free Fringe Programme
Our free fringe programme offers a fantastic showcase of Lichfield's local folk heritage, including:
- **Arts and Heritage Procession:** Watch as a spectacular procession parades through the city, celebrating Lichfield's unique folk traditions.
- **Dance Sides:** Enjoy performances from over 20 dance groups, including clog dancing, Border Morris, North West Morris, Cotswold Morris, and Ukrainian dancing.
- **Traditional Music Sessions:** Experience the magic of traditional Irish and English tunes at sessions throughout the city, featuring talented local musicians.
- **Art Exhibition:** Visit our art exhibition showcasing the finest winners of our art competition, celebrating the creativity of local artists.
- **Acoustic Song Sessions:** Hosted in local pubs by folk clubs and artists, these intimate sessions offer a chance to hear beautiful acoustic folk music in a cozy setting.

Saturday Afternoon Session

- Emerging on the UK folk scene, Painted Sky blends progressive acoustic sounds with English songwriting traditions. Siblings George and Holly Brandon bring their years of experience and collaboration to deliver a refreshing and contemporary folk experience.
- Granny's Attic: 4:15 pm - 5:15 pm
- Celebrating their 15th anniversary, Granny's Attic is known for their lively performances and exceptional musicianship. From traditional songs to energetic original tunes, this trio has won the hearts of audiences across the UK and Europe.
Saturday Evening Session
- Doors Open: 6:30 pm
- Songwriting Competition Winners: 7:00 pm - 7:40 pm
- Enjoy performances from the talented winners of our songwriting competition, showcasing the best of new folk talent.
- Danny Bradley: 8:00 pm - 8:45 pm
- An award-winning fingerstyle-folk guitarist and songwriter, Danny Bradley brings a soulful blend of Americana and folk music to the stage.
- The Magpies: 9:15 pm - 10:15 pm
- With a unique transatlantic folk sound, The Magpies combine first-class musicianship with beautiful harmonies. Their live performances are filled with themes of sisterhood, solidarity, and an engaging blend of Anglo and American roots music.
