It's #RollercoasterDay once again today (Tuesday 16th August), and there's nowhere better to get a rush than Staffordshire.
Here's 15 great ways for thrill-seekers to get their kicks in the UK's biggest and best playground!
Rollercoasters and Rides
With two of the UK's top theme parks in Staffordshire, there's plenty of rollercoasters to choose from.
At Alton Towers Resort, Wicker Man is a traditional wooden rollercoaster - the first in the UK for 21 years when it opened in 2018 while Rita goes from 0-60 in 2.5 seconds, and The Smiler has a world record 14 loops.
Meanwhile, Drayton Manor Theme Park boasts Shockwave, Apocalypse - the only stand-up drop tower ride in the country - and the brand new Vikings area with the Thor Disk'O Coaster.
For younger thrill-seekers, try out the Gangsta Granny ride at Alton Towers, which is also home to CBeebies Land and rides based on hit shows like In The Night Garden, Octonauts and Peter Rabbit.
And, at Drayton Manor Park, Europe's only Thomas Land is home of the Troublesome Trucks coaster, James and the Red Balloon, and more fun with Thomas and Friends.

Hit The Heights
The Staffordshire Peak District is a hotspot for climbing, with more than 700 climbs in The Roaches alone!
If you're new to climbing, try Clip n Climb in Stoke-on-Trent, the ideal training ground with an awesome selection of challenges!
You can also hit the heights in a different way, on one of the county's high ropes courses.
Fly through the trees on the zip-wires at Go Ape Cannock Chase, home to the thrilliant Tree Top Challenge for daredevils, and the more low-key Treetop Adventure for building confidence.
Brave the tight ropes, mid-air jumps and loads more obstacles at Treetop Adventure at The Trentham Estate.
And in the Adventure Playground at Weston Park, you'll find one of the longest double zip-wires in the country!

Mountain Bike Mayhem
There are some inviting trails at Birches Valley on Cannock Chase for mountain bikers, including the brand new Percy's Trail, a 4.3km moderate graded trail with three optional red trails for those looking for something more technical.
If you're just starting out, head for the new Pedal and Play Trail, which has three challenges aimed at novices, each one increasing the difficulty level and throwing different surfaces and features into the mix.
And the Follow the Dog Trail, complete with the 'Stegosaurus Rock Garden' and the 'Tackeroo Blast', is also good for beginners.
For the more daring rider, The Monkey Trail is more demanding, with black options, jumps, drops and the epic 'Lower Cliff' descent.
Cannock Chase is renowned for its mountain-bike trails, and they are so challenging they have recently hosted the MTB racing events at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
If you like pulsating action on two wheels, this is only the beginning! Find more like this on our Cycling & Mountain Biking page.
