Visitors are advised that the Shot at Dawn Memorial will close to the public on Monday 6 May. The memorial will undergo restoration and will be closed for approximately six weeks whilst these works take place. Free Shot at Dawn Talks will continue to take place daily at 12.30pm and 1.30pm in the Millennium Chapel, please ask at the Welcome Desk for more information. From Services of Remembrance, to special events and school holiday activities, there is always something to suit all ages and interests happening at the Arboretum.
The Arboretum is the perfect venue for developing an understanding of Remembrance, as well as a whole host of other subjects including science, literacy and geography. We support various curriculum-based objectives through a fully inclusive learning programme, actively engaging visitors of all ages.
It costs £1,648 to maintain and run our beautiful site during an average visit to the Arboretum*. That’s around £8 per minute.
