Croxden

Croxden is a small village, located 6 miles north west of Uttoxeter. It is the location of Croxden Abbey (English Heritage). The impressive remains of an abbey of Cistercian 'white monks', including towering fragments of its 13th century church, infirmary and 14th century abbot's lodging. Information panels tell the story of the abbey's spectacular architecture. The parish church of St Giles is also worth a visit.
