Enjoy a spectacular free event for UK City of Culture 2021 bid submission! A water-based extravaganza is set to make a splash in the city centre to mark a major milestone in the push to be UK City of Culture 2021.

The city will be submitting Stoke-on-Trent's bid document on 28 April, outlining why we should claim the prestigious title. To mark this exciting event, bid partners will be bringing the free production There's Something In The Water, Duck - by Avanti Display - to Albion Square at 20.21pm on 29 April.

The celebration will also help the city to mark Staffordshire Day, which takes place on 1 May.

Parking will be busy as there are several events on in the city centre that evening - but it will be FREE to park on council surface car parks from 3pm that day. Alternatively, why not travel to the event by bus? First Bus are offering unlimited travel for five people on one ticket for just £5 with First Potteries*. Just buy a ticket from a First bus driver or on the mTickets app. For more details go to firstgroup.com/potteries.
