Waterhouses is the largest village on the south-western edge of the Peak District in the Hamps valley where the old station, once the terminus of the Manifold and Hamps Light Railway can be found.

From Buxton & Stoke-On-Trent, take the A53, heading for Leek. From Macclesfield take the A523 and head into Leek. Once in Leek, head on the A523 (signposted for Ashbourne) road and follow this road all the way into Waterhouses.
