To celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Capability Brown Head Gardener Martin Gee will lead four seasonal guided walks across the estate to reveal Brown’s legacy in all its glory.
Martin will explore Weston’s entire landscape story from Brown’s original plans, what did they mean to Sir Henry Bridgeman who commissioned the work and what is Brown’s legacy today.
Some might argue that the landscape is at its most glorious in the autumn as the trees put on nature’s light show of gold, ambers and reds. Crunch through the leaves and learn more about the people behind the Capability Brown story from Sir Henry Bridgeman to the work undertaken by the Weston Park Foundation today.
