Spectators are sure to enjoy a fun-filled May Day Bank Holiday weekend, with a variety of live music being performed on two music stages. On Saturday 1st May, there will be performances on the Queen’s Gardens’ bandstand too, while local brewery, Lymestone Vaults, holds a real ale bar.
The extremely popular Artisan Market will also be returning to the town on Saturday 29th April, after its successful debut as part of the Christmas festivities. Positioned centrally on the Ironmarket, the Market offers an opportunity to browse stalls, taste the culinary treats, talk to artists, vintage dealers and designer-makers, or sample the hot authentic street food whilst being entertained by local musicians.
The highly-anticipated Festival really does have something for everyone this year, including Stanworth’s Funfair and lots of fun and games for the children… and maybe even some of the adults!
This year, the Lymelight Music Festival’s chosen charity is Caudwell Children. The event will help to raise awareness of the amazing work the charity undertakes; providing family support services, equipment, treatment and therapies for disabled children and their families across the UK.
