Details

The village of Handsacre half a mile to the east is now linked to the former village of Armitage. Crossing the Trent at Handsacre in one span of 140 feet is a fine 150 year old iron bridge, which carries the A513. Sir Josiah Spode, the famous potter, lived for some time at nearby Hawkesyard Hall.
