Take a magical 3 mile return trip alongside beautiful historic Rudyard Lake. Our Victorian style narrow gauge steam trains are the best way to see and access the Lake's attractions. There are 5 steam engines based at the railway and these are all in use pulling the trains. All our steam trains are normally pulled by real coal burning steam engines and run every weekend from mid March to the end of October.

The engines all have names linked to the tales of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Special events, weddings, school trips and children's birthday parties can be booked. We offer very popular learn to drive a steam train experiences throughout the year. Santa special steam trains are run in December each year.
