Castleton to Rocester,
S33 8WN

The Limestone Way is a superb 46-mile waymarked route across the White Peak landscape of the Peak District National Park. It is named after the white Carboniferous limestone laid down as countless millions of tiny creatures over 300 million years ago when the area was covered by a warm sea. From Castleton in the north to Rocester in the south the Limestone Way passes through dramatic dales and pretty villages set in a green rolling landscape. Enjoy this trail as a four or five day walk, taking in the spectacular scenery and views along the way.

The Limestone Way guidebook published by Derbyshire Dales District Council includes a full description of the walk and map sections, in fact all you need to walk the route.
