Join everyone at Claymills Victorian Pumping Station for one of their numerous steaming events. Particular highlights include: Engines in steam on site, two 80 tonne beam engines 5 storeys high, steam powered engineering workshop, a fully operational Steam Powered Electrical Generator - the oldest in the country, Blacksmith’s Forge and Joiner’s Shop, a working Victorian bath house, plus 24 other original stationary steam engines on display.
The Steaming Events at Claymills Victorian Pumping Station incorporates fun for all the family - including activities such as: operating a steam engine, hands-on model making, children’s Victorian dressing-up corner, time capsule ~ follow the rat trail, miniature steam engine rides, woodwork and woodturning demonstrations and learning how metals are made from stone! Light refreshments are also available, in addition to a second hand book stall.
New for 2017 - B Engine
The inaugural public steaming of B Engine will take place on Sunday February 26th.

Claymills Pumping Station is located 3 miles from Burton upon Trent, off the A5121. Leave the M1 at junction 24a, the M6 at junction 15 or the M6 Toll at junction T5, then follow signs for Burton upon Trent.
